Thanks for dropping by! Im
Liz Parker, Foundress, and Im pleased to meet you.
Youre a musician whos decided to take the plunge with your image. Good for
you! LIZPR specialises in creating press kits for classical musicians, by taking a
holistic approach. I get to know my clients, I get a sense of their career
goals -- and create a press kit accordingly. I have plans to expand my portfolio to other
performers. Full-on media campaigns are coming, too... eventually. All in good time!
Its time to put together a professional press kit, or you need to update your
current materials. I can help you with that. If youre starting out, and about to hit
the audition and competition circuit, the last thing you want to worry about is your
promotional materials when youre preparing for a big competition or recital. You
need to have it ready. Or, you may be a seasoned pro in need of an image re-vamp
because in your current publicity stills, youre still wearing shoulder pads.
Im happy to help you update your look.
Let's talk about photography. Everyone has a friend who takes
"great pictures". However, despite how flattering your pictures look when you
pose for your friend at parties and vacations, there's no substitute for high-end cameras,
lighting, and a photographer's eye. Just as you wouldn't hire a student pianist to
accompany you for your Carnegie Hall violin recital debut, you wouldnt want to rely
on amateur pictures for your press kit. Having good pictures could lead to a house program
cover, a brochure or an ad. Ill be honest with you - amateur photos, no matter how
great you look in them, won't do you justice as an artist, and will likely not be used by
professional organizations. If you want to put yourself out there, do so with the best
visuals possible.
I am a publicist with vast experience writing about classical music and the musicians
who bring this music alive. Im also crazy about a makeover and ensuring my clients
look great for their photo shoots. When it comes to bios, no detail is too small or too
insignificant; same with the level of detail required in photo shoots. Nothing makes me
happier than seeing musicians raise their game with their presentation off-stage, because
that presentation must match the magic they create on-stage. |
